Christmas Eve

The day started off with a surprise birthday party for ME! (Thanks luva!)

After a yummy birthday breakfast, we headed over to DeeDee and Bobo's house to celebrate Christmas. For lunch, my favorite "DeeDee dish," cheese enchiladas topped with Ron's chili.... mmmm... sooo good!

Then we opened presents! And presents. And MORE presents!

"Hand-me-downs"

Same outfit, but different babies!

Santa

Today we saw SANTA! This marks our 3rd year to visit Santa Clause at Nanny and Poppy's retirement complex. It's always such a treat to see the kids with their great-grandparents. Each year I can never quite tell who's more
excited the kiddos or Nanny & Poppy :)

"Tents & Ass"

The icy weather has kept us pretty much inside the last 3 days. On Monday, gymnastics was canceled and Ella's preschool Christmas program was canceled on Tuesday... I was so sad. (It has been rescheduled for January though, yea!) David had already taken the day off on Tuesday, so instead of watching angels and drummer boys sing "rum-pa-pa-pum," we went and celebrated the holidays with a Ricardos lunch. Yummy!

Today has yet again been another cold "inside" day.
We've built tents, sang songs, read books, constructed puzzles, cooked play food, danced to music, and watched a little Noggin.

We also organized our Little People nativity scene. The shepherds and donkey/ass happily admired baby Jesus from afar .......

as Devon methodically approached.......

the happy ass was all too soon devoured by hungry dinosaurs! RRROAR!

Thank you Nana!

Christmas in Pryor

Because the arrival of Baby Curtsinger #4 could be any day now, we decided to exchange presents on December 13th.

The excitement of the evening was overwhelming.
(That's my nice, mild way of explaining 11 children opening presents. It was actually pure craziness at the Sherman house!)

Papa Ray, David, and a few of the kids ventured out for a calming night walk before everyone headed home.

Devon's coveted chainsaw....yes, I said chainsaw :)

Christmas Lights

We cruised the Tulsa area enjoying Christmas lights this evening. Rhema Bible College, the interactive light show/music house (Pembrooke neighborhood) and the "burn your eye-balls" house (Bixby) are always are top 3 favorites!
