Eclipse

I still can't believe I really did what I did last night!

My friend Kristie is friends with the owners of the Allred Theater here in town. The Allred pre-sold over 200 tickets for first showing of the the new Twilight movie, Eclipse, with the anticipation of many of the attendees dressing in character. ONE day before the show Kristie called with the proposition: "Dress up and we'll all get free tickets!" Well, of course we jumped on board. Little did we know that we (5 of us girls) would be among only 15 of over 200 that actually came in costume. The local newspaper was there, a red carpet was spread down a city block..... (YES, I really did this! A 33 year old mother of 3 dressed up like a vampire!)
Oh, and did I mention I won the costume contest! Sink your teeth into that... Mwa-Ha-Hahahahaaa

Michael Buble concert

Third row seats, awesome vocals, amazing music.... I absolutely loved the concert - Thank you David!

Catfish in the Country

We's gettin' country!

We're definitely not living an urban adventure any more.

Over the weekend we drove out to a family owned fish farm and ate catfish back behind the portable building where they were servin' up fresh fixins'. It was a beautiful evening so after dinner we did a little exploring before heading back home.

Sew what!

My new obsession is spreading! And NO, I'm not running a sweat shop out of my house. heehee

Music Camp

Music camp blew me away this year! The theme was "The Lord's Army." The crafts, songs, and activities were spectacular. My kids loved it, even though they knew no one in their class! I wondered how they would handle walking into a situation where everyone was "strangers," but they both did great! It was a long week driving back and forth from Pryor to Broken Arrow everyday. Thank goodness I had my shopping buddy (Leah) to keep me company and DeeDee's house to resort to during the day!

VBS

I had the great opportunity of helping with my family's church VBS. The theme was Galactic Blast. My sister Carrie and I were "Mission Specialists" as we led the kids on their cosmic Bible adventure. A different person from the Bible visited with the kids every night. Ella and Devon thought it was spectacular! And I must say, I felt a part of something bigger than myself! So great to see so many people come together for the benefit of teaching our children about the Lord.

David as Elijah

My dad as the "Blind Beggar."

Rob as Cleopas

Whoa Horsee!

Carrie's little girl, Anna, was not fond of the carousel.
