New House

I've been busy, busy planning every little detail of our new house. It's fun, but very time consuming....I have SO much more to do!

On Wednesday I visited with our cabinetry maker. He was gracious enough to show Devon the work area and big machinery. Devon thought it was so cool! He even made off with some wood and a cool hat!

This decision process is overwhelming to say the least. I really like so many things! I don't have an exact style so I've just been pulling pics out of magazines and off the internet to help solidify my choices.

Here is my "inspiration" kitchen. White glazed cabinets, dark tumbled marble back splash, dark granite counter-top and wood floors. (And I love this light fixture!)

This is my Granite slab. Pretty, huh?

My big decision now is whether to go with painted baseboards and doors or stained baseboards/doors? The wood floor will extend thru the entry, living room and kitchen. I had such a bad experience with painted baseboards (so hard to clean) in my last house, but the painted look is so much more economical! Uhggg... I need help!??

Our white White Christmas

We woke up to gigantic snow piles reflecting bright glistening sunshine through our windows! What a Christmas to remember!

Christmas Eve

Our annual Christmas Eve celebration with David's family was rescheduled for the 23rd this year. And thank goodness it was!!! After ALL that snow on Christmas Eve, we would have never made it to Tulsa on the 24th! Thanks for the wonderful fun, food, and gifts! We had a great time!

TCU Graduation

We arrived in style for Graduation Day in Ft. Worth.

They served a fancy breakfast, then all the graduates put on their purple TCU gowns and prepared to walk aross the stage. It was an extra special event!

Leah was not impressed with the ceremony :)

My handsome CRNA

It's been 7 years in the making, but TODAY David started his job as a CRNA! I'm in disarray and amazement that it's actually here. I suppose I expected to wake up to Angels singing "Hallelujah," or the world to stop spinning, but it didn't. It's just another ordinary day. And I suppose that IS special, because ordinary people on ordinary days can accomplish extraordinary things!
Over the last 7 years we've held this goal in sight, and now it's here! Yay David! I'm proud of you!
Thank you Lord for carrying us through! And thank you family and friends for supporting us in so many ways!

*And ordinary or not, I think I'm just going to pretend the world DID stop for just a second - because we deserve it! You did it David!
