The Rent House

The big move will take place on Monday! I still need to pack up all the essentials, but most everything else is in boxes ready to go.
We started cleaning up the rent house this week too. Painting bedrooms, bleaching baseboards/walls, cleaning carpets, and lots more that you don't even want to know about!
I'm trying to keep a clear perspective on the whole ordeal of leaving our nice clean house and moving into an old 1950s ranch style house. This is not my ideal living situation, but it's better than being stuffed in a little apartment..... "Think positive and be thankful, Jill!

So here it is...

San Diego Vacation

Awww... what a wonderful time we had in San Diego... a spectacular city with perfect weather!

We spent our first day developing our "tourist sunburns" while biking along the bay and then up a mountain! (Somehow we veered off the bike trail and ended up pushing, not pedaling, our way up a monsterous hill that we later learned was Mt. Soledad.)

Mmmm.. yummy fish tacos to refuel and well-deserved margaritas when we finally arrived in La Jolla!

On Wednesday we took a 2 hr boat tour of the bay.

Along with our biking and boating, we had a sweet room at the Hard Rock Hotel, watched a couple movies, met up with some of David's old friends, and had some fabulous fancy dinners! (Eating w/o interruption... I can't tell you how long it's been! :)

But I have to say my very FAVORITE part of our vacation was spending time with this....

The relaxation and conversation was so needed and appreciated.
Thank you DeeDee, BoBo, and Tracy for taking care of the kids!
San Diego was a real treat!
