Fin and Feather

Where? Fin and Feather, fool! You know that quaint little vacation spot near Lake Tenkiller that hasn't changed since 1960. Where they play Elvis radio all day long and the average age guest is 75.

We actually had a great time at our time warped resort. We biked, fished, swam, and played all day long.

Good times!

Tornado Sirens

We had our first tornado scare of the season 2 weeks ago. The sirens sounded - and we decided.... "better safe than sorry." Our nice neighbors across the street have a storm shelter, so we woke the kids from a dead sleep around 10pm and hurried them over in the rain and wind. Ella found the experience exciting, Leah was scared, and Devon decided it would be a great opportunity to pass gas while huddled in the shelter. (And of course, his audible fart and crooked smile did "cut" the tension! )

When we got back to our house around 10:30, I put the kids back to bed and asked them each what they thought about tornados. Here are Leah's thoughts,

New Glasses

Yay!!! New glasses... no more crazy blue goggles.

Fun times at the Zoo with new Friends

On Tuesday mornings I meet with 4 other women and have coffee. We just finished our first book together, "Shepherding a Child's Heart." It has been so inspiring to encourage each other as we pursue Jesus while raising our kids! Such a blessing to have new friends in Pryor! We typically meet with just our babies, but last Friday we loaded up the whole bunch and went to the Zoo! And if you are wondering that equals 4 mommas and 12 kids! We had a great time, but I must admit..... coffee talk is much more relaxing!

Excursion to Joplin

Lizards, snakes, and alligators... OH MY!

Who knew there were so many fun things to do in Joplin. Now that we are in Pryor it's only an hour and 15 min away. We will be visiting again soon!
