More Leah

This is where I sit while Mommy blogs, pay bills, and piddles on the computer.

Yesterday, stinker butt (pictured above) had a "code brown" at gymnastics. Upon arrival, I pulled her out of her car seat and felt a wetness on my arm. She must have spit-up. Nope, poop. Yes, up the sleeve of my shirt, up her back, and all over her shirt and pants. I sat her down on her belly on a table amongst all the other parents in the waiting area, disrobed my other 2 and hurried them out onto the gym floor. One of the dads, whom I have never heard speak a single word all session long, could not stop laughing. I wiped down the table and sprayed it with Lysol, went and gave Leah a wet-wipe bath, changed her clothes, and returned to find no one sitting at my table. I sprayed it with Lysol? Oh, and about my soiled shirt... I got a sweet purple $14 Tulsa World of Gymnastics t-shirt out of the deal. I guess poop equals happy endings for all :)

Leah will be 8 months old next week. Ella crawled at 8 months. Devon didn't until almost 10 months. I guess she'll figure it out in her own sweet time.
(That belly has GOT to be the biggest obstacle though :)

The Living Christmas Tree

Ella braved 3 shots on Friday! She was a trooper instead of a drama queen.
Her 4 year old stats: 35 lbs (75%) and 42 inches tall (90%). Everything about her, as the doctor cited, is "just perfect."

That evening I took Reagan and Ella to the Living Christmas Tree performance at Bethany Church. I thoroughly enjoyed the music and drama. The kids just wanted to dance in the aisle. Towards the end of the performance they dramatized the crucification. Ella sat straight up in her chair and watched intently. She had lots of questions, "Why is Jesus dying?" "Why are people mean to him?" She was very distraught. I answered her questions, but Reagan's response cleared it all up ... "but Ella, he rosed again after 3 days."

Reagan spent the night with us that night. The girls giggled and talked until I finally had to move Reagan out on the couch around 11pm.
We loaded up for Jack's 5 yr old birthday party Saturday morning. My van was at full capacity!

That evening it was party time again, Blaine's 3 yr old birthday. The highlight of the evening, Curt's homemade Butter Pecan Ice Cream AND Blaine's new Hummer.

Thanksgiving

What a great day Thanksgiving was! We had lunch in Pryor at Nana and Papa's house and dinner in Tulsa at Bobo and DeeDee's. What a blessing to spend time with ALL of our wonderful family!

The "Sherman" cousins went exploring with Papa Ray and uncle Brian.

A little man-time with Bobo to finish off a perfect day.
